Al-Wasat (Arabic: الوسط‎), also “Alwasat”, is an Arabic-language daily newspaper in Bahrain. It was founded by Dr. Mansoor Al-Jamri and leading personalities from the Bahraini private sector. Al-Wasat was ranked as the top newspaper in terms of circulation and impact in the kingdom of Bahrain
Al Ayam (The Days in Arabic) is Bahrain’s leading liberal daily newspaper. Owned by the former Information Minister, Nabeel Al Hamer, who today also serves as an advisor to King Hamad, it is generally supports the government while providing a voice for the Kingdom’s embattled liberals. In Bahrain’s ever expanding newspaper market, the paper faces increased competition from the new Al Watan, which has recruited a number of its senior journalists and has set out to establish itself as Bahrain’s newspaper of record.
Akhbar Al Khaleej is a Bahraini daily with a Left wing/Arab nationalist slant. Its editor-in-chief is Anwar Abdulrahman. It is the sister paper of the English language, Gulf Daily News.
Daily Tribune is an English Language newspaper in Bahrain, started in 1997. The paper has three sections for readers: Main- Includes local and International news l Business and Sports- Business news with analysis of the market. City Tribune- Covers events and feature section The newspaper has its own e-paper online.
