Gabonese Press Agency
First under the name of Gabonese Information Agency (AGI) created on June 8, 1960 in application of Law No. 27/60; It was on November 30, 1966 under Law No. 21/66 during the plenary session of the National Assembly that the Gabonese News Agency (AGI) received the name of Gabonese Press Agency.
In fact, the AGP is the result of the merger between, on the one hand, the Gabonese Information Agency, an autonomous body with legal personality and managed according to commercial rules, and the Gabonese Press Company (SOGAPRESSE) on the other hand.
From then on considered as a tool of sovereignty in terms of collecting and processing information, the Gabonese Press Agency was assigned missions, the main one being to make available to the public national and international information for a fee, but especially that they are credible, reliable and fair.
To do this, the AGP makes available to the public, in addition to these traditional dispatches, through its website, audiovisual media and press photos available after taking out a subscription.
